We told you that the somber-looking, talented Tabu, who was last seen in a preposterous comedy Toh Baat Pakki!, has signed a Bollywood film after five years. She has said ‘yes’ to Shaitan director Bejoy Nambiar’s next script, which will have Neil Nitin Mukesh in the lead role. Back then the filmmaker had confirmed that Tabu was part of the project, but didn’t reveal much about her role in it. Now we have some details to share that we are pretty excited about. Apparently the leggy leading lady will show off – apart from the regular filmi emotions – some sexy latkas and jhatkas in a groovy dance number. It’ll be something like a typical Bollywood item song.
Which takes us to the next question: Tabu’s dancing skills. Does she really think she can hip-hop, jive and shake booty like the current reigning item queens Malaika Arora Khan, Mallika Sherawat and Katrina Kaif? We don’t think so. Although the talented actor has tried Bollywood-ishtyle dance early on in her career, flaunting her thunderous thighs in aerobics-style dance steps to the beats of Ruk ruk ruk (Vijaypath) and showing off classical moves in the foot-tapping Rang de from Thakshak. More recently, she wiggled and jiggled in a rather revealing costume in the Telugu flick Idhi Sangathi. But we still think Tabu is better at emoting than dancing. She should let others burn the dance floor with their sexy moves, ‘coz she can light up the scene so easily with those expressive eyes.
